The Werum Software & Systems AG is one of the largest independent software companies in Germany with headquarters in Lueneburg and world-leading supplier of Manufacturing IT / Manufacturing Execution Systems ( MES) software for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry.

History

The company was founded in 1969 by the mathematician Wulf Werum in Lüneburg- Ebenberg as " development Wulf Werum ". The technological origins of the company lie in the development of real-time operating systems, real-time languages ​​( PEARL ), the compiler technology as well as real-time databases ( BAPAS DB). After the company's founder Wulf Werum died in 1982, Werum was transferred to the involvement of the then 17 employees in a limited company.
