The company was founded in January 2000 by Greger Hagelin, David Hedman, Pontus Karlsson, Mattias and Ingemar Backman Hallencreutz is considered the fastest growing goods brand in Sweden and has been listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange OMX.

The company sells in 22 countries, including owned stores including Berlin, Munich, Tokyo and New York.
