Wesley C. Skiles

Wesley C. Skiles, Wes Skiles short, ( born March 6, 1958 in Jacksonville ( Florida), † 21 July, 2010 West Palm Beach ) was an American cave diver and underwater photographer.

Life

Skiles began at the age of eight years with the diving. A school trip in 1973/74 according to Ginnie Springs, where he watched cave divers, led to his decision, even to be a cave diver. In 1985, he founded the company Skiles Karst Productions, with which he drove his own films of the underwater world. He worked among others for television and National Geographic. Thus he had several ideas for excursions as those in Antarctica, where he the Iceberg B-15 was the first man.

Skiles died during a dive with a rebreather. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. He was taken to the local hospital, and there a little later declared dead. He is survived by his wife Terri and children Nathan and Tessa Skiles.
