West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine (Scottish Parliament constituency)

West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine was a constituency of the Scottish Parliament. It was introduced in 1999 as one of nine constituencies of North East Scotland electoral region, which was cut in the new part of the revision of constituencies in 2011 and extended to ten constituencies. Here, the constituency of West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine was abolished. It included the sparsely populated southwestern areas of the Council Area Aberdeenshire with the cities of Ballater, Banchory and Stonehaven. The regions are largely absorbed into the new constituencies West Aberdeenshire and Angus North and Mearns. Terms of area, West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine was the largest constituency of North East Scotland electoral region and sent a deputy.
