West Carroll Parish, Louisiana

The West Carroll Parish (French: Paroisse de Carroll Ouest ) is a parish located in the state of Louisiana in the United States. In 2010, the Parish had 11,604 inhabitants and a population density of 12.5 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( Parish Seat) is Oak Grove.

The Parish is located in northeastern Louisiana is bordered to the north by Arkansas, to the east is about 30 km from Mississippi and has an area of 933 square kilometers, of which two square miles are water. It is bordered by the following Parishes and Counties:

History

The North Louisiana was inhabited in prehistoric times.
