West Chester Township (also Union Township ) is one of thirteen townships of Butler County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in the year 2000 57.123 inhabitants were registered here.
The steelmaker AK Steel is headquartered in West Chester Township.
Geography
West Chester Township is located 32 km north of Cincinnati in the northeast of Butler County in southwestern Ohio and bordered clockwise to the following townships: Liberty Township, Deerfield Township, Warren County and Fairfield Township.
Management
The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk ( responsible for finance and budget), which is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
