West Godavari district

West Godavari ( Telugu: పశ్చిమ గోదావరి జిల్లా ) is one of 23 districts in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The administrative center is the city of Eluru.

Geography

The district lies to the east of Andhra Pradesh. He is surrounded by the Bay of Bengal in the west of the district Krishna, in the north of the district Khammam, East Godavari district in the east of and south.

History
