Just east of the station is a junction for Lillie Bridge Depot. This was erected in 1871 by the MDR to stop trains there. After the electrification of the District Line in 1905 a new depot at Ealing Common arose. The depot Lillie Bridge then served from 1906 to 1932 as a parking hall for trains on the Piccadilly Line. Since then, this maintenance work is carried out. Between the depot and station lies the Ashfield House. This is named after Lord Ashfield, who had been chairman of the Underground Group and the London Passenger Transport Board, both predecessors of Transport for London.
