West Oxfordshire

West Oxfordshire is a District in the County of Oxfordshire in England. Council is based in Witney; significant sights are Charlbury, Chipping Norton and Woodstock.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Municipal Borough Chipping Norton, of Witney Urban District and Rural District, Chipping Norton and Witney.
