West Papuan languages
The West Papuan languages are spoken in the Indonesian part of New Guinea and the Moluccas. They belong to the Papuan. The language family includes 27 languages .
The distribution area of West Papuan includes the Halmahera islands and most of the Vogelkop Peninsula. The languages most numerous are represented Tidore (on Tidore and vicinity) with 26,000 speakers, Tobelo with 24,000 speakers and Galela with 22,000 speakers.
