Western Liang (Sixteen Kingdoms)

The Western Liang (Chinese西凉, Pinyin Xī Liang; 400-421 ) was a state of the Sixteen Kingdoms in China. It was founded by the Li family, who were Han Chinese. The founder of the Tang Dynasty, Li Yuan ( Emperor Gaozu ), led his lineage back to the ruler of the Western Liang.
