Western Professional Hockey League

The Western Professional Hockey League (Short form: WPHL ) was a professional mid-level minor league hockey in the United States.

In 1996, the League was founded with six teams from the southern U.S. states, mostly from Texas. The WPHL achieved such a great success that it was extended to the 1999/00 season to 18 franchises. At the end of the 2000 /01 took over the Western Professional Hockey League, the Central Hockey League, but was still continued under the old name and the teams of the WPHL largely recorded in their gaming operations.

The Master League has been played after the regular season in the playoffs and won the President's Cup, the table leader after the regular season was awarded the Governor's Cup.
