Western State Colorado University

The Western State College of Colorado is a state university in Gunnison in the U.S. state of Colorado. At the university about 2400 students are enrolled. It is a so-called liberal arts college.

History

The origins of the university date back to the Founded in 1901, Colorado State Normal School for Children. In 1923 she was given its present name. Since 1968, the university's radio station broadcasts 91.1 KWSB.

Sports

The sports teams of the Western State College are the Mountaineers. The university is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
