Western Wildcats Hockey Club

The Western Wildcats HC is a hockey club based in Milngavie, a northern suburb of Glasgow in Scotland. The club was founded in 1898 as Western HC, making it the oldest existing hockey club in Scotland. By 1968 Western in Glasgow's West End was home, but had no own place. So the club the Milngavie and Bearsden Sports Club joined, further departments in cricket, tennis and squash maintains. In the 1920s, the ladies of Western HC had done when Western Ladies independently and have since established in Titwood the south of Glasgow. In 2002, Western HC decided to ask again ladies teams. To avoid confusion with the Western ladies, the club renamed in Western Wildcats.
