Wexford Youths F.C.

The Wexford Youths Football Club is founded in 2007 semi- professional football club from the Irish town of Wexford. The club was founded to fill a vacant license for the First Division of the League of Ireland and therefore participates since the founding of the schedule of the second train of the Irish professional league.

History

Under the name of Wexford Youths already existed previously successful youth teams. As of 2006, two starting places in the Football League of Ireland were released by the bankruptcy of Dublin City and the refusal of a license for Limerick FC in the summer, there was found to initiatives clubs to take these courses in various Irish cities. Ultimately, however, were Wexford Youths and Limerick 37 the only ones who were able to meet the new, stricter license conditions.

The concept of the club provides to be considered for the team almost exclusively former youth players of Youths as well as players from the area, the County Wexford. The stadium of the Youths will gradually rebuilt since 2003, currently it has a provisional grandstand with 1,200 seats, but which will be replaced after the end of the 2007 season by solid and fully covered grandstand with 2,000 seats.

In the first season, however, was the club that plays in home games in reverence for Juventus with black and white striped jerseys, only occupy the ninth and penultimate place in the second Irish League.
