Whapmagoostui, Quebec

Whapmagoostui ( "place of white whales " in the language of the Cree ) is the northernmost Cree Indian settlement in the province of Quebec.

It is inhabited by about 750 Cree Indians who are sharing yourself with the location of about 650 inhabitants Inuit settlement Kuujjuarapik ( "Little major river " in Inuktitut ).

Whapmagoostui is located on the east coast of Hudson Bay at the mouth of the river Grande rivière de la Baleine ( " Great Whale River " in English ). More information can be found at Kuujjuarapik.
