Wheeler County (Nebraska)

Wheeler County is a county located in the state of Nebraska in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Bartlett, that was according to Ezra Bartlett Mitchell, founder of the town, named.

Geography

The County is located in the central northeastern Nebraska and has an area of ​​1491 square kilometers, of which 1 square kilometers of water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Antelope County, Boone County, Greeley County, Garfield County and Holt County.

History

Wheeler County was formed in 1877. It was named after Major Daniel H. Wheeler.
