Wheeling is a municipality ( with a status of "Village" ) in Cook County and to a lesser extent in Lake County in the north east of the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2010, Wheeling had 37 648 inhabitants.

Geography

Wheeling is located in the northeastern suburb of Chicago area on the west bank of the Des Plaines River, one of the two sources of the opening into the Mississippi River Illinois.
