White Lies (band)

The White Lies are an English alternative rock band from the London Borough of Ealing. They are assigned to the post-punk revival.

Band History

Two of the members, Charles Cave and Jack Lawrence -Brown, knew each other from school, and later they founded together with Harry McVeigh, the band Fear of Flying. From the " weekend project " was a serious music career after leaving school. Your new ambitions, they stressed with the new band name White Lies.

In early 2008 they had their first joint appearance, the same earning them the interest of record labels and eventually a record deal. By the end of May, she appeared in the prestigious television show Later with Jools Holland. Festival appearances and several tours in the UK and some U.S. appearances followed.

The first single release was the end of September 2008, the title Death, which earned them a first chart placement. The forecast Sound of 2009, the BBC White Lies landed at No. 2 The band's debut album To Lose My Life was released in January 2009 and immediately debuted at # 1 on the UK charts.

Through a collaboration with Chase & Status in 2011, the song Embrace arose.

The third studio album Big TV appeared on 12 August 2013. Like the first album was produced by Ed Buller and Big TV. The album was mixed by Spike Stent, who also worked already plates of Madonna, Oasis, Björk and Coldplay.
