Whitfield County, Georgia

The Whitfield County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Dalton.

Geography

The County is located in northwestern Georgia, Tennessee and bordered to the north is to the west about 50 miles from Alabama away. History

Whitfield County was formed on December 30, 1851 97 County of Georgia from parts of the Murray County. It was named after the Reverend George Whitefield, the founder of the Bethesda Orphan House in Savannah.
