Whoopee!

Whoopee! is a musical with music by Walter Donaldson and the lyrics by Gus Kahn. The book by William Anthony McGuire is based on the play " The Nervous Wreck" by Owen Davis. The show was produced by Florenz Ziegfeld Jr.. 's Main role was played by Eddie Cantor. The premiere took place on December 4, 1928 in New Amsterdam Theater in New York.

Action

Henry Williams, a rich hypochondriac is, according to mission rest come to Arizona to recover. But that does not succeed, because for one his nurse Mary Custer is keen on him and on the other hand involves him the local Sally Morgan in situations that he does not see through. Sally will soon namely sheriff Bob Wells married but loves Wanenis, an educated Indian youth from the nearby reserve. Sally now arranged a trip with Henry so that the whole place including Sheriff Bob and Sister Mary says she would be blown. This is the beginning of a complicated chase. While the people in the village take up the chase, Henry and Sally goes right out into the wilderness of the fuel.
