Wiang Nong Long District
Amphoe Wiang Nong Long ( Thai เวียง หนอง ล่อง ) is the smallest district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northwestern province of Lamphun. The Lamphun Province is located in the northern region of Thailand.
Geography
Neighboring districts are ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Pa Sang and the Ban Hong Lamphun Province, and Chom Thong and Doi Lo the province of Chiang Mai.
History
Ban Hong was eliminated on 1 April 1995 as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) of Pa Sang district. The Thai government decided on 15 May 2007 that all 81 sub-districts receive the full Amphoe status. This decision was officially on 24 August 2007 with the publication in the Royal Gazette.
Management
The circle is divided into three subdistricts (tambon ), which are divided further into 34 villages ( Muban ).
Wang Phang is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district. It is composed of the Tambon.
There are also two " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
