Wickersheim-Wilshausen

Wicker Home Wilshausen is a commune with 446 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. Wicker Home Wilshausen is a United Township on the principle of so-called Communes associées. She is a member of the Communauté de communes du Pays de la anger.

Wilshausen

The community Wicker Home Wilshausen existed in its current form since 1 January 1973, is located in the department of Bas -Rhin and arose from the merger of the municipalities Wicker Home and Wilshausen. A place called Wichariovilla ( this or another Wicker Home ) was subordinate to the monastery Marmoutier in the 10th century. The first on the treated here Wickersheim relating to nomination dates from the year 1074. Wilshausens oldest known record comes from the year 1289th An earlier name was Willinghusen.

Townscape

The properties of the village center lie largely on the Rue principale, the main street. Next door runs the Allmendfeld trench, a canalised stream. Out of town is mainly farmland.
