Wielen

Wielen is a small municipality in the district of Bentheim in Lower Saxony and belongs to Uelsen. Het Schöltien: In the village, the oldest surviving school of the county is low.

Geography

Geographical Location

Wielen is located northwest of Nordhorn on the border with the Netherlands. East of Wielen lies the community Wilsum, southeast of the town Itter Beck, both of which also belong to Uelsen. The district Venne Bruges is the westernmost town in Lower Saxony. To the west is the Dutch municipality of Hardenberg.

The Wielener council is composed of nine councilors who were last elected in the municipal elections of Lower Saxony in 2011. These have formed a joint election list.
