WIEM Encyklopedia

Wiem Encyklopedia ( advertised name Wielka Interaktywna Encyklopedia Multimedialna - Large Interactive Multimedia Encyclopedia ) is a Polish online encyclopedia. The word ' wiem ' means in German and I know.

The first printed edition was published in mid-1990, the second in 1998 and contained over 66,000 entries and various multimedia add-ons. In 2000, this lexicon by the Polish web portal Onet.pl on the Internet was published on the basis of Popularna Encyklopedia Powszechna and Encyklopedia Multimedialna Powszechna (about: General Popular Edition and General Multimedia Encyclopedia ). From 2004 until March 2, 2006, that the online encyclopedia was paid for, since it is free again. The ninth online edition appeared in 2006 and contained 125,000 entries.
