Wienerwald is a fast food restaurant chain that offers mainly as a franchise and food service companies chicken products as Fast Food. The restaurants are located in Germany, Austria, Turkey and Romania.

History

It was founded in 1955 by restaurateur Frederick Jahn with the opening of the first restaurant in the Amalienstraße in Munich, initially operated under the name " Linzer Stube" then as a " wine bar to the Vienna Woods ", it was soon followed by other branches in southern Germany. Became famous for the chain with the slogan " Today the kitchen is cold, we go to the Vienna Woods ." All stores had a rustic tasteful interior and served primarily in southern Germany kitchen.

The company grew rapidly to Europe's most successful restaurant chain with 700 restaurants in Germany and Austria only in 1978 and 1600 with nearly 30,000 employees worldwide venues. Branches and franchises were located primarily in Europe but also overseas including the U.S., Japan, South Africa.
