History

On 1 July 1972, the municipalities Bollensen, Threaten, Emern, Kahlstorf, Könau, Kroetze were ( until September 10, 1936 Kroitze ) incorporated and Ostedt. To Wieren also included Gavendorf, United Pretzier, Small Pretzier and Kroetzmühle.
