Wiesbaden Bismarck Tower

The Bismarck Tower in Wiesbaden was formerly one of around 240 in honor of Otto von Bismarck built monuments.

The Wiesbaden tower was built there with a height of 50 m, the highest ever. The wooden tower was built in 1910 near the warden tower on the beer townspeople height and should only be a temporary structure that would later be replaced by a massive Bismarcksäule first. However, this plan did not materialize due to a too small donation volume. In 1916 the tower, which was popularly called "Wiesbaden Eiffel Tower ", closed as a lookout and henceforth used as a military observation post. In 1918, he was pulled down only eight years after its creation due to lack of stability.
