Wigry Lake

The Wigry is a lake in the Podlaskie Voivodeship in northeastern Poland. Geographically it belongs to the western part of the Lithuanian Lake District. With an area of 21.7 km ² it is the largest lake Established in 1989 Wigry National Park. He is surrounded by more than 40 smaller lakes. Main inflow and outflow is the River Czarna Hańcza. The shore is mostly covered with pines and firs; but there are also oak, linden, alder, larch, birch and ash trees.
