Wiktor Zin

Wiktor Zin ( born September 14, 1925 in Hrubieszów, † 17 May, 2007 Rzeszów) was a Polish architect and draftsman. Zin in the years 1977 to 1981 was Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture of Poland, in this capacity, he was responsible for the monument.

Life

Zin graduated from the Akademia Górniczo - Hutnicza in Krakow, where he was employed until 1949. Later he worked at the Technical University of Krakow. In 1959 he received his doctorate; In 1967 he was appointed professor.

The Polish public interest is known from the television show Piórkiem i węglem, in which he recorded monuments in Poland before the camera. He also hosted other shows on similar themes as Być tutaj, Nad Niemnem, Pina i Prypecią, Nasze Korzenie, Spotkanie zabytkami z, z Spotkanie prof. Zinem, Sztuka patrzenia.

Since 2004 Zin was deputy rector of the European Academy of Arts ( Academy of Fine Europejska ) in Warsaw. Zin is honorary doctorate from the University of Budapest and the recipient of numerous awards.
