Wilber Sánchez (wrestler)

Wilber Sánchez Amita ( born December 21, 1968 in Contramaestre ) is a former Cuban wrestler. He was world champion in 1993 and 1994 in the Greco-Roman style in the paper weight.

Career

Wilber Sánchez began as a teenager in 1981 with the rings. After initial successes, he has been delegated to the training center Cerro Pelado the Cuban national team of wrestlers in Havana. There he was coached by Carlos Ulasia and Pedro Val. He focused on the Greco- Roman style.
