Wild Frontier is an album by the Northern Irish hard rock and blues guitarist Gary Moore. It was published in March 1987 by Virgin Records.
History
After a trip back to his native Belfast Moore released this album, which act more songs of Ireland. Even the music has Celtic influences. While recording a drum machine was used. Originally, the title track of Phil Lynott was to be sung, which prevented his death in January 1986. The album was dedicated with the words " For Philip " Lynott.
Over the Hills and Far Away was one of the most famous pieces Moores and was repeatedly gecovert so by Nightwish. The song reached # 20 in the UK. Also, included with Friday on My Mind, a cover of The Easybeats.
Criticism
The website Allmusic criticized the decision to use a drum machine. However, it was not a bad drive, only it was " slightly disappointing ". You forgave the Rating 2 out of 5
