Wild World

Wild World is a song by Cat Stevens from 1970, which appeared on the album Tea for the Tillerman. 1971 proved the single release eleventh place of the U.S. pop charts; on the back is Sad Lisa. The single was released just as the album in Iceland Records; Producer Paul Samwell -Smith was.
In an interview with the magazine Mojo Stevens said about the origin of the piece:
" The song consists of chord progressions that are typical in the Spanish music. I turned to the combination, and out came a topic that I often use in my songs. , It is about leaving, the sadness that comes from it and the idea of what might come next "
1987 Jonathan King accused Pet Shop Boys, that they had sampled for their song It's a Sin Kings cover of Wild World. King argued in a column in the newspaper The Sun claims and sued the Pet Shop Boys. At the end of the negotiation, agreement was reached out of court.
