Wildberg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Wild Mountain is a municipality in the district of Mecklenburg Lake District. It lies north of Neubrandenburg. It is part of the Office Treptower Tollensewinkel based in Old Treptow.

Geography and transport

Wild Mountain is located about 18 km north- west of Neubrandenburg and ten kilometers southwest of the Old Treptow. Federal highway 104 runs south of the community. They can be reached by the Federal Highway 20 over the Old Treptow connection. The western part of the municipality borders on the Kastorfer lake.

History

Wildenberg was first documented in 1249. Until 1 January 2004, the municipality was part of the Office Kastorfer lake.
