Wilhelm Ernst (chess player)

First won Ernst local successes in West Germany: In 1934 he was first Westphalia champion 1935, he finished in the zone tournament in Cologne third place behind Rellstab and Engels, which he qualified for the tournament for the championship of Germany in Aachen in the same year, where he teamed up with occupied Ahues and Michel second place behind Kurt Richter.
