Wilhelm Ernst War Cross

The Wilhelm- Ernst- war cross with crossed swords was founded on June 10, 1916 by Grand Duke Wilhelm Ernst of Saxe -Weimar -Eisenach in addition to the House Order of the White Falcon.

It was intended for members of his regiment of Infantry Regiment Grand Duke of Saxony ( 5 Thüringisches ) No. 94, as well as for officers, NCOs and men of this regiment, who had converted to other units during mobilization.
