Wilhelmina Drucker

Wilhelmina Elisabeth printer ( born September 30, 1847 in Amsterdam, † December 5, 1925 ibid ) was born Wilhelmina Elizabeth Lensing. She was the daughter of a single mother and grew up in poverty. She was one of the first Dutch feminists.

Printer founded in 1889 Vrije Vrouwen Vereeniging ( Free Women's Association ), from 1894, developed "Uniting for women's suffrage ." The Free Women's Association was the first women's organization with a socialist background.

Wilhelmina printer used the magazine Evolutie (Evolution, 1893 to 1926 ) in order to propagate their ideas.

The Dutch feminist movement Dolle Mina, which was created in 1969, was by her nickname, Dolle Mina, named.

She was the half sister of the liberal politician Hendrik Lodewijk printer.
