Wilhelmsburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
William Castle is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald in eastern Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Torgelow - Ferdinandshof with headquarters in the city Torgelow.
Geography
William Castle is located on the eastern edge of the Friedlander Great Meadow in a vast lowlands. To the south, close to forest areas belonging to Ueckermünder Heath.

History
Even the king's son, Frederick the Great moved Palatine settlers in the area of, it was the district Friedrich Hagen.
In an arrangement of Friedrich Wilhelm I in 1722 started the construction of a glass factory ( district Johannesberg ). The king gave the settlement near the glassworks the name William Castle. From the mid-18th century, the place of settlers from the Palatinate was settled. By the end of the Second World War there was a Remonteamt in William Castle.
The image of the community has improved in recent years, numerous houses were rehabilitated, renovated roads and paths.
Policy
In the state elections in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern in 2011 voted 26.8 per cent of voters for the NPD (2006: 27.9 ), 26.3 percent for the SPD ( 23.8 ), 17 percent for the CDU ( 23.3 ) and 15.9 percent for the Left ( 14.4 ).

In the village there is a Motocross Track that is also used nationwide.
Transport links
In the nearby community Ferdinandshof made connections to the national road network (B 109 Berlin- Greifswald ) and on the rail network ( Berlin- Stralsund ). About the junction Strasburg is an affiliation with the federal motorway 20
