The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are an American ice hockey franchise in the American Hockey League from Wilkes -Barre, Pennsylvania. History

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins were founded in 1999 as the American Hockey League farm team of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League. The team was created by the relocation and renaming the franchise, previously competed in the Canadian Cornwall in the province of Ontario as Cornwall Aces in the AHL.
