Will Claye

Will Claye ( born June 13, 1991, Tucson ) is an American long and triple jumper.

Life

In 2009, he was starting in the triple jump U.S. and Pan-American Junior Champion and, for the University of Oklahoma, the NCAA triple jump champion.

In 2011 he moved to the University of Florida and became a U.S. runner-up in the long and triple jump. At the World Athletics Championships in Daegu, he was ninth in the long jump and won bronze in the triple jump with a personal best jump of 17.50 the new meters.

2012 increased Claye its indoor triple jump at 17.70 meters length and was thus in Istanbul World Indoor champion. In the triple jump, he landed in fourth place. At the Olympic Games in London, he improved to 17.62 meters outdoors and thus won the silver medal in the triple jump. A second medal he secured in the long jump, where he finished third with a centimeter ahead.

Will Claye is 1,80 m tall and weighs 73 kg. He is trained by Martin Smith.
