Will Stevens
William "Will" Stevens ( born June 28, 1991, Rochford, Essex ) is a British racing driver. It occurs since 2012 in the Formula Renault 3.5.
Career
Stevens began his motorsport career in karting, where he was active until 2008. He was, among other things 2005 British Junior ICA champion and 2007 CIK -FIA KF2 European Champion and KF2 Asia -Pacific champion. End of 2008, Stevens moved to Formula racing and each was eighth in the winter series of the British and Portuguese Formula Renault. He then took in winter 2008/2009 in New Zealand at the Toyota Racing Series part. He played half a season, and stood at nine races on the podium five times. 2009 Stevens moved to Fortec Motorsport and raced in the British Formula Renault. While his teammate James Calado and Oliver Webb wins the second and third respectively, Stevens finished the season off in seventh place in the drivers' standings. A third place was his best result. In addition, he took for Fortec Motorsport to four races of the Formula Renault 2.0 Euro Cups in part. He remained without points and was 34th overall.
2010 Stevens moved to Manor Competition and remained in the British Formula Renault. He won two races and finished the season in fourth place in the drivers' standings. Internal team he lost to Lewis Williamson, who was runner-up. In addition, he was a guest starter at a meeting of the Formula Renault 2.0 Euro Cups in part. He finished the race in second place. He also went for MP Motorsport at a race weekend of the North European Formula Renault at the start. There he won a race. 2011 Stevens returned to Fortec Motorsport and formed with Felix Serralles, driving a Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. Already in his second race, he scored his first victory in this race series. Overall, Stevens was in this season four times on the podium and started three times from the pole position. Internally, he sat down with 116 by 41 points against Serralles. In addition, Stevens took part in four races of the British Formula Renault. He was twice runner-up.
After Stevens end of 2011 had made during test drives of the Formula Renault 3.5 with a best time on the last day of testing for sensation, he was taken from Carlin, the 2011 champion team for the 2012 Formula Renault 3.5 season under contract. His team-mate Kevin Magnussen was. While Magnussen with a win was seventh, Stevens reached the twelfth place overall with a third place as the best result. 2013 Stevens joined in the Formula Renault 3.5 to P1 Motorsport, which was acquired after the first race weekend of Strakka Racing. Stevens reached three times on the second place the target and stood on the podium five times. In the drivers' standings, he improved to fourth place. With 148 to 9 points he won the team-internal duel against Matias Laine clearly for itself. 2014 Stevens remained at Strakka Racing in Formula Renault 3.5.
