Willard Motley

Frances Willard Motley (* July 14, 1909 or 1912 in Chicago, Illinois, † March 4, 1965 in Mexico City) was an African- American writer.

Life

After releasing his first successful novel and filmed Knock on Any Door Willard made ​​three years younger; in many places his birth year is therefore listed with 1912. His second book was not a great success. The politically active Communist, was under the influence of McCarthyism into exile in Mexico.
