Willi Kaidel

Willi " Bubi " Kaidel ( born April 20, 1912 in Schweinfurt, † April 2, 1978 ) was a German rower.

At the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin- Grunau he won together with Joachim game in the double sculls silver medal. 1937 won the two at the European Championships in Amsterdam.

He started for the Schweinfurt Rowing Club and in 1935 German Vice Champion in One at the German Championships. 1936 and 1937 he won together with Joachim Pirsch the German championship in 1938, he and Georg von Opel Second.

His son Siegfried Kaidel is since 2008 President of the German Rowing Federation.
