William B. Pine

William Bliss Pine (born 30 December 1877 in Bluffs, Scott County, Illinois; † August 25, 1942 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma ) was an American politician ( Republican), who represented the state of Oklahoma in the United States Senate.

After the public school visit Pine initially worked as a teacher himself. Later he worked as Mähdrescherverkäufer before he moved to Chanute, Kansas, where he found employment in the oil industry. In 1904 he moved to Oklahoma, where he settled in 1909 in Okmulgee and continued intensively engaged in petroleum production.

In 1924, William B. Pine was chosen for the Republicans in the U.S. Senate, where he took his seat on March 4, 1925; he followed the Democrats Robert L. Owen. 1930 Pine stepped reelection, but was defeated by Democrat Thomas Pryor Gore, and consequently resigned on 3 March of 1931 the Congress of.
