William Beckford of Somerley

William Beckford of Somerley (* 1744 in Jamaica, † February 5, 1799 in London) was a Jamaican plantation owner and author.

He was an illegitimate son of Richard Beckford and so belonged to the Jamaica very influential family of Beckford. Among his possessions the sugar cane plantation Roaring River Estate was in Westmoreland Parish to the west of Jamaica.
