William Boleyn

Sir William Boleyn (* 1451 in Blickling, Norfolk, † October 10, 1505 ) was an English nobleman and 1489 High Sheriff of Kent.

William Boleyn was the father of Thomas Boleyn, 1st Earl of Wiltshire, and paternal grandfather of Anne Boleyn, the second wife of King Henry VIII. His parents were Geoffrey Boleyn and Anne Hoo. He was married to Lady Margaret Butler, daughter of Thomas Butler, 7th Earl of Ormonde.

The couple had 10 children:

  • James Boleyn ( 1493 - December 5, 1561 ), married to Elizabeth Wood
