William Daniell

William Daniell (* 1769 in Chertsey, Surrey; † August 16, 1837 in New Camden Town ) was a British painter and etcher.

Daniell accompanied his uncle Thomas Daniell to India and in 1822 a member of the Royal Academy. He has delivered a lot of drawings and engravings of works; he was a staff member at said at the previous one.

  • A series of views of London, etc. (12 colored leaves, London 1812)
  • Interesting selections of animated nature ( 60 sheets, das. 1809, 2nd edition with 120 sheets 1820)
  • A Voyage round Great Britain - in the summer 1813 (ibid. 1814-20, 4 volumes)
  • Illustrations of the Iceland of Staffa (9 colored leaves, das. 1818)

After his death appeared

  • Eastern legendary tales and oriental romances, etc., steel engravings after drawings Daniells (London, 2 volumes)
