William de Ros, 2nd Baron de Ros

William de Ros, 2nd Baron de Ros ( * before 1280, † 1316 ) was an English nobleman and member of the Barons of Ros.

Life

William de Ros was the eldest son and heir of Robert de Ros. He was named after his father's death around 1285 2nd Baron de Ros. Therefore, he was also charged by King Edward I to the council of the magnates of the kingdom in 1295 by a Writ of Summons. Also at the next Council meeting in 1299 and at all subsequent meetings from 1299 to 1315, he was always summoned by both Edward I and Edward II by his son. William de Ros died in 1316 and was succeeded by his son William as 3rd Baron of Ros.
