William E. Crow

William Evans Crow ( born March 10, 1870 German Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania; † August 2, 1922 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania ) was an American politician ( Republican), who represented the state of Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate.

William Crow first attended the common schools until he graduated in 1890 at the Southwestern State Normal School, a normal school, made; later he continued his education still continues on the College in Waynesburg. He then worked for three years in the newspaper industry and eventually studied law. After recording to the bar in 1895 he began to practice in Uniontown.

1896 Crow was appointed Deputy District Attorney; Two years later, the choice was made to the Office of the District Attorney, a position he held until 1901. His political career began with his election to the Senate of Pennsylvania, the Crow was a member until 1921. During this time he was a delegate to the Republican National Conventions of 1916 and 1920. He laid down his mandate at the state level, after he had been appointed in the U.S. Senate as the successor of the late Philander C. Knox. In Congress, Crow sat from October 24, 1921; he died on August 2, 1922, even in the office.

His son William was from 1947 to 1949 member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Pennsylvania.
