William F. Nolan

William Francis Nolan ( born March 6, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri ) is an American author. He has written hundreds of stories in the genres of science fiction, fantasy and horror.

He became known primarily through the Logan series. From this the first book as an escape into the 23rd century (AKA Logan 's Run ) was filmed.

Life

William briefly attended the Kansas City Art Institute, but moved with his family to California 19. In 1952, he joined in Los Angeles a group of writers, which should be the leaders in the genres of science fiction and horror, including Ray Bradbury, Richard Matheson and Robert Bloch. From 1962 he also wrote screenplays for film and television. In 1961, he starred in Roger Corman's White Terror ( The Intruder ) as a supporting actor.
